  • To perform our contract with you, if you are a paid subscriber of Facticity.

  • To analyze and understand usage patterns and trends to enhance the Facticity user experience, in accordance with our legitimate interests.

  • To send you updates, newsletters, or communications (with your consent, where applicable) in relation to Facticity.

  • To comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations (including request by law enforcement) in relation to operations of Facticity.

3. Automated decision making

At Facticity, we utilize automated decision-making processes to support our AI-powered fact-checking services. Facticity analyses and evaluate information input by the user to assess accuracy and credibility and provides output made automatically using generative AI. Such output may include automated decision making such as deciding whether a statement is “true”, “false” or “unverifiable”. While these automated systems play a significant role in providing rapid fact-checking results, they are designed to assist human  reviewers, not replace them. We monitor our systems and endeavor to continuously maintain or improve the fairness, transparency and accuracy of our assessments.

4. How We Protect Your Information

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to take all reasonable measures to protect your personal information, we are unable to guarantee absolute security. Accordingly, as a user of Facticity, do consider minimizing the use of personal information when using our services, or using methods such as anonymization or pseudonymization to protect your personal information.
