🌱 How It All Started
AI Seer began not in a lab—but from personal pain.
Our founder, Dennis Yap, was catfished—an experience that exposed the deep personal and financial toll of online deception. Around the same time, one of his friends in venture capital fell victim to a sophisticated scam. These weren’t isolated incidents—they were symptoms of a larger crisis: Misinformation, Disinformation, and Mal-information (MDM) are costing people billions and eroding trust worldwide.
In 2019, Dennis launched AI Seer, setting out to build technology that could help people perceive reality more clearly. Our first breakthrough was the Multi-Spectral Reality Detector (MSRD)—a contactless truth detection system that analyzed behavior, physiological cues, and responses with 83% accuracy in under 3 minutes.
But as AI-generated content, deepfakes, and online manipulation escalated, we knew we needed to build something faster, scalable, and accessible to all.
That’s how Facticity.AI was born.

Dennis Yap — Founder & CEO
Dennis is the visionary behind Facticity.AI and inventor of the MSRD. He previously worked with the Gates Foundation, Princeton University, and JFDI.Asia. With a passion for truth, logic, and information ethics, Dennis leads AI Seer’s mission to build an “antivirus” for digital deception. He is the creator of Facticity.AI, which he led to the Grand Finals of SuperAI, raised over $1 million from Draper Associates, and generated over half a million in revenue through paid pilots and MVP deployments of the company’s dual-use MSRD technology.
A M Shahruj Rashid — CTO & AI Engineer
A graduate of NUS Electrical Engineering, Shahruj combines LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and proprietary algorithms to achieve 92% fact-checking accuracy. He led the live fact-checking of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Debate within 90 seconds—setting a new industry benchmark.
Von Wong — Product Designer
With a background in design from LASALLE, Von drives user experience and product growth at Facticity.AI. She helped transform the MSRD into a user-friendly platform and spearheaded our 400% user growth. Her work has helped Facticity gain recognition from TIME’s Best Inventions of 2024 and the ASEAN Digital Awards 2025.
