One Year of $FACY: From Virtuals Genesis to Beyond

TL;DR: One year ago, on August 8, 2025, ArAIstotle launched $FACY through the Virtuals Genesis framework: 658% oversubscribed, 16,000+ participants, over a billion points pledged. The promise: turn a fact-checking bot on X into a full truth economy. Twelve months later, every phase of the Genesis roadmap has shipped, the platform, staking, the Truth Terminal, prediction-market intelligence, agent-to-agent tooling, the Chrome extension, and the Behavioral Intelligence Layer. This is the retrospective: what we promised, what we built, what we learned, and where the truth economy goes from here. Every claim links to the receipts.
One year ago this week
On August 8, 2025, ArAIstotle went live on the Virtuals Genesis platform. The launch pitch was ambitious to the point of provocation: $FACY as "the Truth Layer of Web3, rewiring the perverse incentives of the attention economy." Web2 platforms monetize engagement, and engagement rewards outrage over accuracy. We proposed a network where verification itself carried the incentive, where the token rewarded people for checking claims, correcting misinformation, and contributing evidence.
The market answered: the Genesis raise was 658% oversubscribed, with more than 16,000 participants pledging over a billion points. Then came the part that matters more than any launch, twelve months of shipping.
A retrospective from a verification company should be held to a verification company's standard. So here is the year, quarter by quarter, with receipts.
Q3 2025 — Genesis: a fact-checker in your feed
The launch product was deliberately simple. Tag @ArAIstotle under any post on X and get a witty, source-backed fact-check in the same thread. No dashboard, no onboarding, no learning curve.
What that phase proved shaped everything after it: people don't want to go somewhere to verify. They want verification embedded in the surface where they already are. Ambient, frictionless checking was the only model that scaled, a lesson that later became the Chrome extension, the Telegram alerts, and the video-reply bot.
Q4 2025 — Product and access: the platform arrives
The second quarter took ArAIstotle from bot to platform: araistotle.facticity.ai launched with full text, audio, and video fact-checking. $FACY went to work on subscription plans, staking tiers from Bronze to Platinum, unlocking usage credits and premium access, and a contributor leaderboard with token rewards. Distribution expanded to Telegram and the Base App.
A pattern emerged that we hadn't fully designed for: a subset of users weren't just consuming verdicts. They were flagging inconsistencies, catching AI-generated content, refining outputs. A distributed validation layer was forming organically, so we built structure around it instead of managing it away.
Q1 2026 — The Truth Terminal: from claims to signals
Real-time verification expanded to X Spaces and Articles. But the bigger shift was conceptual. Prediction markets exposed a problem deeper than false claims: disputes weren't about facts they were about interpretation. The same words meant different things to different people, and the meaning drifted over time.
The Truth Terminal launched to track exactly that: keyword monitoring to follow the truth around any topic as it develops, account monitoring to track any X account's claims and truth record over time, and an EPOCH-based content leaderboard. Not just whether a claim is true, but how information moves, where it originates, and what it means by the time it lands.
Q2 2026 — From intelligence into signals
This is the quarter the thesis sharpened into the product ArAIstotle is best known for today. Prediction-market monitoring went live on Polymarket: ArAIstotle's independent probability estimate against the market price, evidence for and against each outcome, and two structural risk metrics of our own design, the Resolution Risk Index (RRI) and the Resolution Fragility Score (RFS), plus a Top Deltas leaderboard surfacing the largest AI-vs-crowd edges.
The agent economy arrived in parallel. Virtuals' Agent Commerce Protocol (ACP) is an open standard for commerce between autonomous agents, a shared layer where agents discover one another, commission work, and settle payment on-chain, instead of every team wiring custom integrations to every counterparty. ArAIstotle plugged in as a verification provider: any agent on the network can commission a fact-check the way it would commission research or a trade, with the job and settlement recorded onchain. February 2026 alone saw 22,761 agent-to-agent verifications flow through.
The protocol itself has kept evolving underneath us. ACP v2 re-architected agent commerce around flexible, domain-specific job offerings, persistent on-chain agent relationships, and multi-chain support and stands as the reference implementation of ERC-8183, the proposed Ethereum standard for agent commerce. As that standard matures, verification becomes a service any agent on any chain can procure natively.
Alongside ACP, our MCP server opens the same tools to the wider agent ecosystem, Claude and any MCP-compatible agent can call fact-checking, claim extraction, link reliability scoring, transcription, and Truth Terminal search directly. The customers of a truth layer, it turns out, are not only human.
Q3 2026 — Closing Genesis at full strength
The final Genesis quarter shipped the two most ambitious surfaces of the year.
The Truth Terminal Chrome Extension put everything above into the browser tab: full ArAIstotle analysis panel on every Polymarket market, and the Live Fact Checker running on any video, podcast, or article as you watch and read.
And the Behavioral Intelligence Layer launched: behavioral-cue detection on any video, live for Platinum stakers. Lip presses, shoulder shrugs, blink rate, chin raises, and emotion, rendered as a polygraph-style timeline per speaker with an emotion-mix profile. Tag @araistotle_jr under any video on X and it replies with a video analysis of its own. The layer is built on peer-reviewed research, a published Mock Crime study, a public preprint, an independent police-academy field trial, and patented multi-spectral detection technology and it is governed by a research-ethics commitment we consider non-negotiable: behavioral signals add context to fact-checks; they are never presented as standalone verdicts on any individual.
For a year, our fact-checking verified what people say. The Behavioral Intelligence Layer reads how they say it. Genesis closed with ArAIstotle gaining a second sense.
The scorecard: what Genesis promised vs. what shipped
The launch-day description made specific commitments. Grading against them:
Fact-checking across media — Delivered. Text, audio, video, X Spaces, Articles; 98.3% accuracy on independent benchmarking (updated October 2025), with roughly 3× fewer hallucinations than leading competitors.
Spend — Delivered. $FACY powers subscriptions and premium access across the platform, Terminal, and extension.
Earn — Delivered. Contributor rewards, moderation incentives, impression-based rewards for bot replies, logged on-chain.
Stake — Delivered. Bronze through Platinum tiers gating credits, premium features, and Platinum-level video analysis.
Deflationary mechanics — Delivered, and further than promised. Truth Terminal refreshes and premium compute consume credits backed by automatic $FACY purchase-and-burn. Usage now burns supply by design.
Beyond the roadmap — prediction-market intelligence, RRI/RFS, agent-to-agent commerce, and behavioral video analysis were not in the original Genesis spec at all. The thesis grew a product line we hadn't promised.
One year. Every phase delivered. Some of it wasn't even on the map when we started.
What we learned (the honest section)
Three lessons, plainly stated.
Verification must live where attention lives. Every successful surface this year: the X bot, the extension, the Telegram alerts, the video replies, embeds checking into an existing habit. Every time we asked users to come to us instead, friction won.
Interpretation is the deeper problem. We launched to fight false claims. We learned that sophisticated manipulation rarely needs one it needs a true claim deployed at the right moment, framed the right way. That realization built the Truth Terminal and the behavioral layer, and it will shape what comes next.
Markets and missions run on different clocks. The broader agent-token market has been through a full cycle this year, and $FACY was not exempt. We won't narrate the chart. What we can point to is what accrued regardless of it: five product surfaces, a patent-backed research program, real Web3 revenue, machine customers verifying claims tens of thousands of times a month, and a roadmap with every box checked. Builders through the cycle that was the commitment, and it stands.
Beyond Genesis: distribution
The Genesis phase proved we could build it. The next phase is about making it matter.
It's worth saying plainly why a token was ever part of this. Launching $FACY was never a financing exercise dressed in ideology it was the ideology. This week, on the eve of the anniversary, Dennis put his founding ideals on the timeline: a future where deception detection "is available to all citizens," where the people can read the powerful as easily as the powerful have always read them, through distributed, decentralised access to this technology via $FACY. His challenge to the timeline, borrowed from the cyberpunk canon that raised half of us: "Does anybody else want to dematerialise the polygraph and reshape the master-slave dialectic in the age of mass communications? Like the Laughing Man of the 'Stand Alone Complex.'"
Dematerialise the polygraph. For a century, that instrument sat in institutional rooms, pointed one way. This year we put a version of it on a public timeline, pointed every way at once read against each speaker's own baseline, never presented as a verdict on any individual. That was the moonshot at Genesis, and it is still the moonshot now. Ghost in the Shell imagined it; the Genesis phase started building it.
The focus now is distribution getting ArAIstotle to where truth matters most: across platforms, browsers, feeds, and agent ecosystems. More surfaces, more users, more claims verified. The truth economy we pitched a year ago only compounds if verification is present at the moment of consumption, everywhere consumption happens.
You're part of that. Tag @ArAIstotle and @araistotle_jr on claims worth checking. Share the fact-checks that matter. Stake, contribute evidence, tell us what we missed and what to build next.
One year ago we asked the market to fund a bet that truth could carry its own incentive. Thank you for taking it with us.
