When Companies Imitate You: The Real Cost of a Fake Identity

In a world where deepfakes and digital deception are on the rise, even companies and crypto projects can be impersonated.

Case 1: A Company with a Similar Name
Recently, our team at AI Seer Pte. Ltd., creators of Facticity.AI, uncovered a case of mistaken — or perhaps misleading — identity. A company with a similar name, Seer AI Technologies Pte. Ltd., was flagged as being associated with us.
For the record: we are not them.
We are AI Seer Pte. Ltd.
We do not operate out of Tampines.
We are not affiliated with NEC.
We do not manufacture or repair robots.
Our UEN is 201942044R.
Thanks to IMDA SPARK and a quick Facticity fact-check, we were able to clearly separate fact from fiction — and more importantly, protect our brand from being confused with a lookalike.

Case 2: A Fake Token Pretending to Be Ours
Unfortunately, the challenge of digital misrepresentation has reached the blockchain space as well. We’ve recently identified a fake token falsely claiming affiliation with our upcoming crypto project.
To be clear:
🚫 The token at contract address 0x282f9ae0d823036c359b208dbd42ec4bd9b7bc5f is not issued by AI Seer or Facticity.AI.
🚫 It is not part of our official token launch.
🚫 Interacting with this contract may expose users to:
Loss of funds
Wallet compromise
Malicious or deceptive smart contracts
We strongly advise our community to avoid any engagement with this token.
Our official token, $FACY, will launch on August 8th at 8:08 AM SGT via Virtuals Genesis.

All legitimate updates will come directly from our verified channels.
Until then — stay vigilant, stay informed, and as always — keep fact-checking.
From Personal Stories to Global Patterns
This issue is not new to our team. Our CEO, Dennis Yap, once walked into a bookstore abroad where pirated books were priced by the pound — including his own National Geographic guidebook.
“Probably part of why National Geographic needed to find another business model, which I found deeply sad,” he reflected. “Some of the unique and quirky cultural features of that country were also swiftly homogenized as I visited. Please protect cultural heritage and diversity.”
This moment, while personal, speaks to a global trend: the erosion of originality and authenticity.
Why We Built Facticity
To fight back, we built Facticity.AI — to empower people and organizations to verify what’s true, and who’s real.
✅ Detect misrepresentation and misinformation
✅ Expose false associations across text, image, video, and audio
✅ Provide fast, source-linked corrections across platforms
Whether you're a startup, a media platform, or a token project, you deserve protection from digital fraud and impersonation.
A Call to Vigilance
In 2025, a logo isn’t enough. In an era of deception — fact-checking is your firewall.
Stay sharp, stay verified.
